Produce is harvested daily to order for the freshest product possible. It is always packed in new waxed cartons and prepared for shipment upon arrival from the field. For lettuces and greens, this includes immediate cooling to 35 degrees in our 4-pallet vacuum cooler, which insures optimal product temperature throughout the pallet. It also facilitates temperature maintenance in our coolers and promotes longer shelf life.
Our produce is grown on over 150 acres of organically certified land in the CT River Valley. Our seasonal crops are available from approximately Memorial Day to Veteran's Day and include lettuces, cooking greens and peppers.
Lettuce varieties include Red Leaf, Green Leaf and Romaine. Packed in new waxed cartons, heads are available in 12 and 24 count cases, with optional bar coded apron ties.
Greens include Green Kale, Collard Greens and Dandelion Greens packaged in 12 or 24 count cases. Bunches are secured with either bar coded apron ties featuring recipes on the back or PLU rubber bands.
We also grow Green Bell and Jalapeno Peppers.
